Because most modifications to the dorm in Azur Lane involve gems and therefore often real money, we made this guide to discuss how the dorm system works and what can you expect from each unlock as a new player. The purposes of the dorm/backyard: 1. Gaining EXP - ships left in dorm with food to consume will automatically gain EXP and level up. 2. Gaining ship affection and decor tokens - ships occasionally have speech bubbles of heart or decor tokens. Clicking on these popups will increase affection for the ship or gain you decor tokens. 3. Recovering condition/morale/mood(actual English name TBD, waiting for devs to make up their minds) - ships in dorm recover condition/morale/mood faster. Furniture are purchased with decor tokens. They serve to increase the happiness score on top right. The higher the happiness score, the more EXP your ships you gain per hour. Return to Index Auxiliaries Overview Auxiliaries usually are the last two equipment slots of your ships. Their functions vary greatly, giving your ships various buffs. The order in which I discuss them is NOT a "tier list" of any kind because that would be comparing apples to oranges. Most of them do drastically different things so do not try to figure out which one is "better" than the other. Auxiliaries Analyses SG Radar Hit +35 Evasion +15 Skill Ambush encounter -12%. Ambush escape chance +12%. Similar skills can't stack(take max effect). Often considered a must-have for each fleet. In later maps there is a lot of requirement for recon values so the chance to encounter ambushes is very high. The equipment skill can significantly help with that.
